1600 Square Foot Rustic Barndominium with Wraparound Porch [Plan 777042MTL]

The house plan is designed in a rustic barndominium style and features a covered porch that wraps around three sides of the 2-story vaulted and open living space. This provides ample fresh-air space for enjoyment. French doors on either side of the fireplace grant access to the 15′-deep side porch, while ones by the dining room open from the 7’6″-deep front porch. The right side of the home follows an open concept design under a vaulted ceiling, offering views to three sides. On the left side of the home, all the bedrooms are located, with strategically positioned laundry facilities for convenience. The plan was specifically designed with a Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) in mind, which is commonly used for building barndominiums. A PEMB can be engineered, fabricated, and shipped to any location in the world, and it can be installed much faster than a traditionally framed home. This allows for a quicker project completion and interior build-outs without the need to support roof loads. Additionally, the metal house plan offers the option of 2×6 exterior framing, which can be selected from the Options menu.
